We hired MJB for two jobs on our house - to replace several treads on an interior staircase, and to make some repairs on our porch. The latter job turned into a significant project, requiring them to jack up the porch and build a new retaining wall, as the original had been poorly constructed.
They did a great job, using quality materials, and building everything to last. Mike, the owner, who did much of the work himself, explained everything that needed doing in detail, and he and his team were always a pleasure to work with. And they were very fair on pricing all the work they did. Overall our experience with them was great, and I'll definitely be using them for future projects.

Mike was referred to me by someone. He was good at communication, came when he said he would and had really good input on parts of the job that I was unsure about. So far we have had them help with interior staining, painting, finish carpentry, new cedar fence and gate, gutter downspout repair and improved drainage, install a new window and replace rotten window sill/trim, replace double course cedar shake siding including new house wrap, priming and exterior painting, new baseboard trim In the bathroom...and I'm likely forgetting something. Every job has been completed perfectly - flashing details, color match, easy to work with and honest hard working team.
